Names of people owing dues announced with drum beats in Gautam

The revenue collection staff of Gautam Buddha Nagar district today announced the names of people owing dues to the department with drum beats in areas near their residence and work place, an official said.
As per the directions of the district magistrate, names of some 15-20 people were announced on the public address system, Additional District Information Officer said.
Three persons of the Food Department owing Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 2 lakh each deposited cash of Rs 20,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000, he said.
