"The process of finalisation of candidates was on the advanced stage of completion and the names would be announced any time," Badal, who along with his wife visited the Golden Temple to pay obeisance today, told reporters.
Asked whether SAD would support its ally BJP in the Rajasthan Assembly polls or the party would swap the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat with them, Badal said nothing has been decided regarding this.
He reiterated his commitment to realise the dream of industrial revolution in the state and said that he recently met leading industrialists from Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon and New Delhi in this connection.
He said that the state government would unveil its new Traders' Policy on Thursday. The policy, he claimed, would surely give a new direction to the state's tourism industry.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Punjab Vidhan Sabha has passed a resolution against the ban on wearing Sikh religious symbols in Canada's Quebec and has sent it to the Union Government for further necessary action and aware the Canadian Government in this regard.
