"Social equality should also be visible in Parliament, state assemblies, panchayats, political parties. Not only reserved seats but also unreserved seats should get represented by people belonging to weaker sections," he said.
Naqvi, Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, made the remarks while addressing a seminar organised by an NGO Prabuddha Bharti International here to mark 125th birth anniversary of Constitution Architect BR Ambedkar.
Naqvi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working with a "strong" commitment towards country's prosperity with social equality and that the schemes initiated by the government aim at making India a country based on principles of Ambedkar.
