An ED official said that Hakim, the urban development minister, was asked to depose before the agency to face interrogation on the Narada tapes which allegedly showed him giving consent to a businessman to hand over money to one of his accomplices.
Hakim was among several other Trinamool Congress MLAs, MPs and ministers who had been either already interrogated or called for deposition.
The tapes purportedly showed CEO of Narada News, Matthew Samuels offering money to the leaders while posing to be a businessman.
