Narian Karthikeyan is expected to race in the Super Forumla series in Japan this season as the ace Indian driver is in talks with some of the teams in the fray.
Karthikeyan, who raced in AutoGP series last season for Zele Racing and Super Nova International, said nothing has been finalised but he is expected to sign a contract with one of the teams very soon.
The 37-year-old Karthikeyan appeared in car testing for the series, which is top level single-seater racing in Japan, in Fuji last week.
"I am sure something will come out very soon. I am talking to some teams," Karthikeyan said on the sidelines of the launch of T1 Prima Truck Racing championship.
Karthikeyan said no racing event can be compared to Formula One but he is "happy to race in these events."
Japan's top driver Kazuki Nakajima, who raced for Williams from 2007 to 2009, will also be part of the series.
