Narayanasamyurges Central Power Ministry to meet energy needs

Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today urged in Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal that the power requirements of Puducherry be met early.
A release from office of Chief Minister said that Narayanasamy who haddetailed discussions with Goyal at Delhi today sought allocation of more power to Puducherry from Central power generating plants.
He also specifically requested the Central Minister that Puducherry be earmarked 100 mw power from Odisha power corporation.
Narayanasamy said that the Central subsidy for those going in for establishing roof top solar power panels in Puducherry and also wanted sufficient funds for Puducherry to take up steps to prevent transmission loss of power available from other States to Puducherry.

The release said that Piyush Goyal promised Narayanasamy that all his pleas would be considered for follow up action.
Narayanasamy also had a courtesy meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi today, the release said.
