Technology has significant role and is relevant in Industries as it interacts with Human Resources and business and inter-connects the world, Narendran said while speaking on the 7th National HR Conference organised by SAPPHIRE at XLRI here.
In fact, the change has taken place faster in the last two decades with improvement in the telecommunication sector he observed.
The telecommunication sector in the last 10/20 years has really brought in change in the paradigm of business and reduced distance and time, Narendran said.
We had to communicate after media reported that the panicky citizens of the steel city were preparing to leave the city following the incident, he said.
Technology, which would rewrite the rules in the prevailing scenario, also helped enhance the efficiency and productivity, Narendran said asking the Human Resource managers to be prepared themselves to face the dynamic change.
He also focused on the importance of technology in Training and Development, Learning, Knowledge Generation, Securing Knowledge that is about to retire. Social HR and its application in technology is an emerging field and is very relevant to be discussed at this point of time, he added.
