Naseeruddin Shah's 'Dear Liar' at The Hindu theatre fest

Nasseruddin Shah's 'Dear Liar', penned by Jerome Kilty, will be among the main attractions at The Hindu Theatre Fest -- the annual theatre festival of The Hindu Group scheduled to begin next month in three cities.
Besides 'Dear Liar' which would be held both in this city and Hyderabad, 'The God of Carnage' and '12 Angry Jurors' by Rage Productions would be held in Hyderabad, a press release said.
'Yatagarasu' by J Productions and Dur Se Brothers, 'Loretta' by Arpana would be held in Bengaluru.
The Theatre Fest begins on August 19 in Chennai would conclude on September 8 in Bengaluru.
The event, now in its 12th year, will bring theatre from various parts of the country by bringing prominent artists and theatre groups.
'Dear Liar' written by Jerome Kilty and performed by Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak-Shah, is an attempt to recreate the intriguing relationship between George Bernard Shaw and Patrick Campbell, the release said.
The play would be held in Chennai and Hyderabad on August 19 and 21.
