Natco Pharma shares up over 5% on smart Q2 show

Shares of Natco Pharma today surged more than 5 per cent after it reported over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September.
The stock gained 5.06 per cent to end at Rs 649.95 on BSE. During the day, it rose sharply by 10.72 per cent to Rs 685.
On NSE, it jumped 5.41 per cent to close at Rs 653.60.
Natco Pharma on Friday reported over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 66.55 crore for the second quarter ended September, mainly on robust formulation sales.
The company had posted a net profit after non-controlling interests of Rs 29.29 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Natco Pharma said in a BSE filing.

Consolidated total income from operations also rose to Rs 467.86 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 243.02 crore for the same period last year.
