The actor claimed that the Kerala Chalachitra Academy had illegally and arbitrarily not placed his documentary before the judging committee and had excluded the film from consideration.
The chalachitra Academy and Judging committee are respondents in the case.
Later at a press conference, the actor alleged that Mohanlal-Anupam Kher-Jaya Prada starrer 'Pranayam', for which Blessy was adjudged the best director was in fact a copy of an Australian film 'Innocence'.
He said he would approach the court against the award for this film also.
Salim Kumar won the best actor National Award for 2011 film 'Adaminte Makan Abu'.
