Shehnaz Ganai posed a supplementary question to the Minister about the police recruitment criteria alleging there has been no yardstick applied to the posts granted to different districts.
Not satisfied with the minister's reply, she staged a Walkout from the House.
Replying to other part of the question, Veeri said there is a laid down policy for regularisation of SPOs as constables and followers in Police department on operational grounds, excellence in sports and ITI diploma.
The Minister said that 2081 SPOs were absorbed and appointed as constables/followers during past five years in the state.
