The Expo, organised in association with World Ayurveda Foundation, Kerala government and Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (GRCB), aims at fostering the growth of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) and popularising it among the common man, RGCB Director Dr M Radhakrishna Pillai said here today.
Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik will inaugurate the expo in the presence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy tomorrow evening.
The event is expected to attract 700 delegates from around the country, and people from various sectors including medical practitioners, diplomats, marketing strategists, professionals, policy makers, and students.
It was the largest exhibition of complementary and alternative healthcare in the world since 2002, officials said.
The expo would create business opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers of medicines, herbal products, cosmetics, medicinal plant and raw materials, herbal extracts, equipment, instruments, allied utilities and publications, they said.
