Scores of litigants attended the Lok Adalat and expressed satisfaction at the speedy disposal of cases, that were caught in the legal troubles for years.
"The response, in spite of on going Panchayat elections, has been very encouraging. We shall take up the remaining cases of this Lok Adalat in future monthly Lok Adalats, which now have become regular feature," District Judge D K Singh said.
Among the lucky ones were Ratan Singh, a resident of Nanda Ki Gadhi village, whose Rs 24,000 interest on a loan he took six years ago, was waived off.
Ranveer Singh Paurush, bank manager of Bank of Baroda in Mahaban Tahsil area, was elated as his bnak branch was removed from the Non-Performing Asset (NPA) category as three pending borrowers who had refused to pay back the money, finally agreed for settlement at the Lok Adalat today.

Vijai Pal Singh Tomar, President of Bar association in Mathura termed the Lok Adalat as a "successful" endeavor, while praising the efforts of Judge D K Singh and his team for organising the event.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kumar Srivastava, civil judge and secretary Vidhik Seva Pradhikaran stated, "As many as 17 family suits (re-union of married couples) were settled today."
Former secretary of district Bar Association, K C Gaur suggested that the one-day National Lok Adalat should be converted into a three day festival.

As many as 5,933 cases out of the total 6,639, were
District Magistrate Jagat Raj Tripathi said that the cases were related to SCs, OBCs, minorities, women and senior citizens.
A sum of Rs 1,33,32,000 was realised from concerned parties, he added.
