"People are voting out the Congress lock, stock and barrel. They are giving a positive and decisive mandate for the NDA, which will win 300 plus seats," BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said.
Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, Javadekar said people were voting for a stable government, economic growth, jobs and good governance. What went against the Congress were inflation, corruption and non-governance.
Poverty and backwardness used to be Congress' planks previously but have now gone away from it and come to the BJP.
"The way it belittled Narendra Modi as a chaiwala has boomeranged on the Congress and it lost not only the backward plank but also the working class," the BJP spokesman said.

"That is a real magic happening in south India in this election," he added.
