The seminar is being organised by Himachal Pradesh Police in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla.
At least two dozen members of the legal fraternity, social activists, NGOs, academics, thinkers, bureaucrats, human rights activists apart from serving and retired police officers from all over the country would participate in the seminar, Inspector General of Police Zahur H. Zaidi said.
There will be nine sessions spread over two days which will cover issues like the history and origin of policing system in India, free speech and dealing with it, human trafficking, radicalisation, human rights and marginalised groups, terrorism and police reforms, he said.
