Naturals to set up hair and beauty care Academy

Hair and beauty salon provider, Groom India Salon and Spa, owners of Naturals brand, as part of its proposal to train individuals wanting to make up a career in hair and beauty care would set up an academy near here, a top official said today.
The city-based firm for setting up the -- Godrej Naturals Hair and Beauty Academy has roped in Godrej Good and Green, part of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd in this regard.
"We are hoping to train 50,000 people in four years. The industry requirement for skilled people is four times of that. In first 18 months of the operation, we plan to train at least 2,000 people," Groom India Salon and Spa, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Naturals, C K Kumaravel told reporters.

"They (Godrej Good and Green) will provide the infrastructure facilities, we will provide the Academy. It will be coming upon a 11,000 square foot land near Mahabalipuram, Chennai. Investment will be around Rs 2 crore," he said.
Godrej Consumer Products, Good and Green, Associate Vice-President, Kayomarz D Dhotiwalla said Godrej is providing beauty and hair care training programme under an initiative -- SALONi, for the last two years ago and has trained about 17,000 people.
"For the academy, Godrej SALONi will become knowledge partner. Godrej and Naturals after completion of three month programme will give the course completion certificate to students," he said.
