A new national forum "India Against Negativity" (IAN) was launched here today with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asking people to shun negativism and adopt positive thinking as it helps in moving forward.
"Positive and negative mindsets are both within us. One is there to make us and another to break us. It's a choice we have to make, whether to cow down by negativity or to move forward with positivity," Patnaik said inaugurating IAN in presence of a host of distinguished persons from all spheres.
"When a small negative thought can turn into a huge fireball of ugliness, a small positive thought can blossom into a garden of Gods," he said.
Stating that negative mindset spoils one's confidence, the chief minister said it makes our vision hazy as "negativism is like a drop of poison in the nectar of positivism."
Hailing the launch of India Against Negativity, Patnaik expressed the hope that the new forum would play a significant role in promoting positive social activities and checking social prejudices and superstitions.
Former Supreme Court Judge, Justice A K Patnaik, who is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of IAN, said Odisha is the right place for launching the forum, which would steer all in a positive direction.
