Naveen seeks cooperation for success of model village prog

Seeking cooperation of all for making the model village programme successful, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today called upon people from all walks of live to apply their mind and heart to improve the standard of living of rural people.
"Let us all join hands and together script a glorious saga of transformation of our state," Patnaik said while addressing a workshop on Model Villagers for Good Governance.
Stating that good governance constituted the core of the state's vision and essence of development strategy, Patnaik said "Our sustained efforts for good governance have produced ample opportunities for growth and development in the state. We have displayed high economic growth, massive infrastructure and industrial development and noticeable changes in a host of other sectors like health and education."

However, rural development and upliftment of people living in villages have always remained a priority, he said adding development in rural areas must be accelerated by convergence and synchronisation of our developmental policy and programmes.
