Citizens of Amaravati were treated to a scintillating display of Indian Navy's prowess on river Krishna as thousands turned up for the Navy Show at Punnami Ghat here this evening.
A simulated beach attack, demolition of an oil rig, a helobatic display by Chetak and Sea King helicopters and the daredevilry of Marcos, the elite Marine Commando force of Navy, were some of the highlights of the show that was held for the first time on the river.

After a fly-past, Chetak and Sea King helicopters team from INS Dega of the ENC presented a synchronised tango. Slithering operations by the Marcos and jet skiing also stole the show.
The Navy Band from ENC enthralled the audience with lilting tunes while Beating the Retreat by the sail boats and the illumination thereon offered a visual treat.
