"KichheDewa wasmurderedlast night by Maoists who held a janadalat (kangaroo court) for not complying with their dictates at Kurrapad village under Polampalli police station limits," Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police, Santosh Singh told PTI.
Dewa's relatives reached Polampalli police station along with his body today and lodged a complaint, he said.
The officer said naxals are believed to have picked up Dewa on Saturday and then beat him to death last night.
"The deceased was very much vocal against the dictates of Maoists and often refused to obey their orders. It appears that heincurred thewrathof theMaoistsfor the same," the ASP added.
Security forces have been rushed to the spot to trace the assailants, Singh said.
