Actor Anil Kapoor says that 'Nayak Returns' will have a completely fresh subject and it won't be a sequel.
'Nayak' (2001) was a political action thriller starring Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Amrish Puri. The film was a remake of
S Shankar's successful Tamil film 'Mudhalvan'.
Now 'Nayak 2' is rolling out, though Kapoor says it is not a sequel.
"I have just signed 'Nayak 2' and it is my responsibility to put the project together. It is not a sequel to 'Nayak'. The film is completely a fresh subject but it is something similar... The character is same. We will try to do something special," the actor told PTI.
Kapoor will be seen next in 'Sharmaji Ka Atom Bomb', directed by Abhishek Sharma (of 'Tere Bin Laden' fame). A comedy, it is to go on floors by the end of this year.
