Nazibabad coldest in UP at 1.8 deg C

Fog occurred at several places in Uttar Pradesh even as cold wave conditions prevailed at few places over the state with lowest minimum temperature recorded in Nazibabad (Bijnore) at 1.8 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met department, the weather was dry over Uttar Pradesh.
Temperature fell appreciably in Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad and Agra divisions, fell markedly in Meerut division and changed little elsewhere, it said.
It was appreciably below normal in Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Moradabad, Jhansi, Agra, Meerut divisions, below normal in Varanasi, Lucknow and Bareilly divisions and normal in the remaining division of the state.
MeT department has forecast that fog would occur at few places over east UP tomorrow and rain or thundershower would occur at isolated places over western parts of the state.
