NBCC pays Rs 59.40 cr dividend to government

State-run National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has paid a dividend of Rs 59.40 crore to the government for 2014-15 year.
NBCC today handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 59.40 crore to Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu here, a statement said.
National Buildings Construction Corporation has paid a dividend of Rs 5.50 per share to its shareholders.
Naidu said that the country was moving towards urban transformation with the launch of major schemes such as smart cities mission, and Housing for All which would give a fillip to the construction industry in the country.
"NBCC should use the opportunity and scale newer heights in the years to come," Naidu said.
NBCC Anoop Kumar Mittal said that the company's financial performance has been impressive in the year 2014-15 as compared to the previous year resulting in an increase in dividend from Rs 5.00 to Rs 5.50 per share, a 10 per cent increase over the previous year.
