"JK Assembly has been undermined most during this phase of National Conference-Congress coalition. Our Assembly has lost its credibility," PDP patriarch Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said here today.
"The Assembly, which is the ultimate authority in a democratic set up is facing a crisis of credibility in view of the ruling coalition's inability to tolerate dissent and debate," he alleged.
"If there is any solution to bring the situation back to normal it is only through democracy, there is no other way," he said.
On the issue of discussion in the state legislature over Guru's mortal remains being handed over to his family members, the former home minister asked: "Where do we discuss issues of public importance, surely not on streets."
"Use of force is no options but it seems this government is pushing people out of the institutional debate," he added.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the House, Mehbooba Mufti endorsed the views of her father and PDP chief.
