"After worst debacle in the Lok Sabha elections, National Conference-Congress coalition government in the state has lost moral authority to take any policy decision," former BJP state president and national executive member Nirmal Singh said in a statement here today.
He said the failure of the coalition to even open its account in Lok Sabha elections was a clear indication that this "corrupt" regime had lost faith of the people and those who were ruling the state had no moral authority to govern.
"During the last nearly five and half years, this government has done nothing to fulfil promises which both NC and Congress made to the people during 2008 Assembly elections," Singh said, adding that the result of the Lok Sabha elections was indicator of people's "anger".
"Legalising corruption and nepotism is the only noticeable achievement of this regime," he said.
"This government is neck-deep in corruption and leaders of the ruling party have been brazenly indulging in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
"Common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems, but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts," he said.
