The JKNPP said the delimitation move was "another fraud" on the people of the state.
"The NC-led government, with the support of the Congress, is trying to divide Jammu and Kashmir on communal lines. They are trying to implement the Dixon Plan in the state through the so-called delimitation move," JKNPP chief patron Bhim Singh told reporters here.
Singh alleged that the Dixon Plan sought to divide Jammu province along the Chenab river on purely communal lines.
Singh appealed to all political and social groups, who stand for reorganisation of the state, to join hands in the elections this year to defeat the forces opposed to democracy, rule of law, reorganisation and national integration.
The Dixon Plan was formulated by Owen Dixon, an Australian judge who was appointed by the United Nations as its representative for India and Pakistan (UNRIP) in 1949. He recommended his plan on Jammu & Kashmir, which was later known as Dixon Plan, in 1951.
