"The coalition has messed up governance with competitive politics to score political points over one another as a result of which the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh were suffering," National Conference District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen said.
Accusing the coalition of making hollow promises, he said, "The coalition government has certainly succeeded in making hollow commitments, which they know are not to be kept".
Shaheen led a large number of people to submit a memorandum to the government through the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, which, inter-alia, raises the issue of new recruitment policy and "discriminatory" treatment meted out to people belonging to a particular community by evicting them from their lands.
He alleged that the move was a brazen attempt to bypass the well established mechanism of recruitment agencies like Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and State Subordinate Recruitment Board (SSRB).
"This is a calculated move to undermine the constitutional role of these institutions, which is fraught with danger of encouraging corruption, nepotism and exploitation of unemployed," he said.
