"The role of the private sector in supplementing the government's effort in achieving the objective of universalization of education is laudable," said Rana while addressing the annual day function of a pre and primary school.
"A sound base is imperative for a strong edifice," he said.
Saying that education has undergone tremendous transformation over the years, the leader expressed satisfaction that Jammu and Kashmir has been maintaining pace and providing a congenial atmosphere to young learners enabling them to face the competitive world with more vigour and confidence.
Rana called for a close synergy between teachers and parents, saying this is imperative for monitoring the overall academic growth of children.
He said growing consciousness among parents on education of their children has generated a healthy atmosphere, which needs to be encouraged and sustained for the larger interest of youngsters.
