Describing good schooling as key to healthy grooming of a child, Jammu NC president Devender Singh Rana today lauded the private sector for supplementing government's effort towards making education universal.
"The role of the private sector in supplementing the government's effort in achieving the objective of universalization of education is laudable," said Rana while addressing the annual day function of a pre and primary school.
"A sound base is imperative for a strong edifice," he said.
Saying that education has undergone tremendous transformation over the years, the leader expressed satisfaction that Jammu and Kashmir has been maintaining pace and providing a congenial atmosphere to young learners enabling them to face the competitive world with more vigour and confidence.
He also expressed happiness over the expansion of schooling in far-off and remote areas, saying this has opened up vistas of opportunities for the hitherto fore disadvantageous pockets of the state.
Rana called for a close synergy between teachers and parents, saying this is imperative for monitoring the overall academic growth of children.
He said growing consciousness among parents on education of their children has generated a healthy atmosphere, which needs to be encouraged and sustained for the larger interest of youngsters.
