NC must make its stand clear on beef ban: BJP

BJP today said Opposition National Conference should make its stand clear on the issue of beef ban by telling people what it thinks of the recent Hight Court order prescribing its strict implementation in the state.
"The people of the state have a right to know whether NC opposes killing of bovines and beef sale, and honours the the High Court order," BJP state spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan said.
He said his party has made it clear that it honours the High Court order. "Any move to lift it will be opposed vigorously as the issue is directly related to the religious sentiments of the Hindu community," Rattan said.
