"We are seeking votes on peace and development. (We appeal to) the border people to come forward in a big way and strengthen the forces committed to development, peace, prosperity and brotherhood in these most remote areas of the state," NC's state vice-president Rattan Lal Gupta said while addressing a rally at Peedi village of Darhal constituency.
Campaigning for party candidate Choudhry Imtiyaz Ali, Gupta said the party has all along worked for focused development in border areas and remote pockets.
Referring to creation of additional administrative units, Gupta said these have brought the administration to the door steps of the people who had to travel to the towns and the capital cities for their grievances to be heard.
He said Darhal constituency has also been benefited by this "revolutionary measure".
