The opposition National Conference today termed the 100 days of PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir as a period marked with "despair, discontentment and disillusionment" with the coalition finding itself in "bewilderment" with no achievements to talk about.
People usually talk of government deficit but in this case there is nothing like governance; it is a vacuum where it feels that the government does not exist at all, Devender Singh Rana, NC Provincial President said.
Addressing a series of public meetings at Kanna Chadgal and Badsoo in Nagrota Assembly Constituency here, Rana noted that the state government is in a "state of bewilderment" as they do not have any achievement to talk about because of their dismal performance in these 100 days.
"The people had been breathing in an atmosphere of peace and reaping benefits of development during NC rule but the scenario is quite different now. Peace stands threatened in both the divisions of Kashmir and Jammu while there seems a sort of moratorium on development," he said.
Rana questioned the efficacy of making country wide trips and creating hype over tourism, when a message of disturbed situation has already damped the enthusiasm of nature lovers.
"Similar is the case with development, which has suffered immensely due to inherent contradictions between the coalition partners that has left the administration in deep inertia," he said.
The NC Provincial President decried the diversionary tactics being adopted by the coalition partners to cover up its failures on administrative front.
"They are talking politics more and not attending to the woes and problems of the people. It appears that the government has lost sense of proportion, as a result of which it is running helter skelter to realise its political fortunes", he said.
