Opposition National Conference today sought probe into the alleged mass copying in Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) examinations, saying those responsible for encouraging the menace should be severely dealt with.
"There is an immediate need to identify those involved in misconduct and the hidden perpetrators, as the future of educated unemployed is at stake," Ajaz Jan, President, Provincial Youth National Conference said while addressing workers in Poonch district.
He squarely blamed the PDP-BJP dispensation in the state for playing with the career of youngsters, first by bringing anti-youth job policy and now encouraging unfair practices to seek the jobs.
He said the system had been streamlined during the government led by Omar Abdullah, which witnessed systematic recruitments. He also gave a vivid account of measures taken to ensure fast track recruitment and creating employability across the state during the previous regime.
Allegations of cheating and mass copying marred the JKSSB examination, with the board cancelling the exam at two centres in Jammu following ruckus there on December 25.
Jan also expressed concern over postponement of the viva voca without advance notice and said that those candidates, who had reached Jammu for the purpose should be financially compensated.
The Provincial Youth National Conference President cautioned the coalition government to desist from anti-youth policies, saying these would boomerang.
He added that the unemployed educated youth deserved a fair deal which the present dispensation was denying them.
