NC will emerge victorious in 2014 J-K assembly polls: Minister

Exuding confidence that National Conference will emerge victorious in the assembly polls scheduled in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014, a state minister today said the Omar Abdullah government has launched several schemes for the welfare of people.
Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra yesterday visited several border villages in Marh block and took stock of situation due to shelling by Pakistan.
The state government has prepared a comprehensive contingency plan to cope up with the situation, he said.
Sadhotra said that people living close to IB and LoC are facing severe difficulties and it is prime responsibility of the government to protect them.
Union Home Minister and Chief Minister also visited the border areas and took stock of situation so that early rehabilitation measures would be ensured, he added.
The minister asked youths to come forward and avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched by the state government and the Centre.
