The chairperson of the appellate tribunal for the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) will receive a fixed monthly pay of Rs 90,000 apart from other allowances.
Decisions made by NCLT, which would replace the Company Law Board, can be appealed before the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
NCLT and NCLAT are being envisaged under the new Companies Act, which is being implemented by the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
The chairperson "shall be entitled to a monthly pay of Rs 90,000 (fixed) and such other allowances as are admissible to an officer in the Cabinet Secretary's scale of Rs 90,000 (fixed)," Ministry said today.
NCLAT's judicial and technical members would receive a fixed salary of Rs 80,000. Besides, they are eligible for other allowances.
Meanwhile, the government has finalised a fixed monthly pay of Rs 80,000 besides other allowances for NCLT president.
For judicial and technical members of NCLT, salaries would be in the pay scale of Rs 67,000 to Rs 79,000. Besides an annual increment of three per cent, they would also be entitled for allowances.
