AICC incharge of Maharashtra Mohan Prakash said the meeting of the coordination committee will be held on August four.
Earlier this week, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had held consultations with senior party leaders, including Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Chavan, who is under attack from state NCP leaders over his style of functioning, also held discussions with senior party leaders Ahmed Patel and Motilal Vora.
NCP had recently threatened to withdraw from the union government alleging UPA allies were ignored by Congress in the functioning of the coalition government.
NCP, a major coalition partner in the Democratic Front government in Maharashtra, had also complained the coordination committee with Congress in Maharashtra had not held meetings for the last three years.
NCP withdrew its threat after Congress agreed to set up a coordination mechanism with its allies at the Centre and reactivate the committee in Maharashtra.
