NCP distances itself from 'dahi handi' invite to Sunny Leone

NCP MLA from Thane, Jitendra Awhad, has invited Leone at the dahi handi celebrations tomorrow.

"NCP has nothing to do with the invitation. It is not a function organised by the party but by the legislator in his personal capacity," state NCP spokesperson Madan Bafna said.

Bafna was responding to a question about the contradictory stands of two of its legislators. While Awhad has invited her to the festival, party MLC, Vidya Chavan, had sought removal of 'Jism 2' posters from public transport buses in Mumbai, terming them "vulgar".
