The meeting agenda includes formally declaring the appointment of the national president, appointment of national executive members, adopting a political and economic resolution, party spokesman Nawab Malik said here today.

This session was to be held last month, but was postponed due to the heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the state convention of NCP will be held in Pune on October 20 and 21.

Union Minister and party chief Sharad Pawar will be present during the deliberations on both the days.

Discussion on prevailing political scene, FDI in retail and its impact on consumers, farmers and small retailers, preparations for Assembly and Lok sabha elections are on the list.

About 6,000 delegates are expected to attend the two-day conclave.

Replying to questions, Malik said former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was well within his rights to convene the meeting of NCP ministers.

"He is the legislature party head and all ministers are legislators. This was not a pre-cabinet meeting as we are aware that cabinet agenda is confidential," he added.

Also, Malik lashed out at Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray for his allegation that Ajit Pawar got the courage to resign after important files related to irrigation department burnt in the Mantralaya fire.

"This shows Uddhav's limited knowledge about Mantralaya functioning. Sena leaders who frequent Mantralaya should tell him that Irrigation department is on the second floor while the six floor got burnt," he said.
