NCP would be holding a "silent protest" on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary tomorrow against the attack on the ideals and thoughts of the father of the nation, it said.
Party spokesperson Nawab Malik said there was a conspiracy to "kill Gandhian thoughts" by demanding temples and statues of his killer, Nathuram Godse.
"An attempt is being made to finish off the Gandhian ideas which the NCP will protest," he said.
Sunil Tatkare would lead the protest here, while Ajit Pawar would lead in Pune.
The protest would be organised all over the state.
On February 3, the party will stage protest outside the rationing offices in the state against the exclusion of 1.77 crore above the poverty line beneficiaries from the Food Security Act.
