"The chief minister has personally taken note of our grievances and assured us of solving local issues immediately after the by-election. We trust him and will work to ensure victory of the Congress candidate," NCP MLC Sandeep Bajoria told reporters today.
Citing pending issues with Congress, NCP had earlier decided not to support Nandini.
With the election round the corner, Chavan will arrive in Yavatmal tomorrow to campaign for Nandini. Chavan will address three rallies -- one at Yelabara village in morning, another of Youth Congress in the city later and a public meeting in evening, party sources said.
"Nandini's victory is the prime agenda of NCP now and she will win with a huge margin," Food and Drugs Minister and NCP leader Manohar Naik said.

The bypoll was necessitated following the death of Nandini's husband and sitting legislator, Nilesh Parvekar, in a road accident.
Nilesh was an active member of the Rahul Gandhi brigade and one of the five Youth Congress leaders who were given party tickets by Rahul during the last Maharashtra elections.
Besides Nandini, 15 other candidates have thrown their hats in the ring for the by-election. While BJP has fielded former MLA Madan Yerawar, the rest 14 candidates are Independents.
