"Corporates, NGOs and individuals who have not only done exceptional work in the sector but have also emerged as a credible way to map the progress being made year by year towards greater dignity and empowerment of India's 70 million disabled citizens have been selected for the award," a statement said.
"Twelve awards have been announced under three different categories-Role model disabled person, Role model supporter of increased employment opportunities for disabled and role model companies, NGOs and institutions," it added.
