"Soldiers of Haryana were always willing to protect the country's borders," Singh said, adding that it was a matter of great pride for Yamunanagar that a soldier from the area had died fighting with the enemies.
Meanwhile, All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) said in a statement that it was unhappy with Haryana Government for announcing Rs 20 lakh to the martyr's kin.
"When the government can give Rs 2 crore to the person who brought bronze medal then why they announced only Rs 20 lakhs for the martyr's family," it said.
