"We strongly condemn the AAP party for neglecting to take action against the perpetrators of this terrible crime and thereby indirectly abetting this tragic loss of life," a NCW statement said.
"NCW demands that protection to the family of the deceased should be provided so that they are able to state the facts in the court without any fear for their lives and property," it said.
Lalitha Kumaramangalam, NCW Chairperson, had also hit out at Delhi Commission for Women, where 28-year-old Soni had filed a harassment complaint, for "not taking swift action".
The woman had filed a complaint against party colleague Ramesh Bharadwaj for allegedly touching her inappropriately and a case of molestation was registered in June and the accused was arrested.
