It is requested to investigate the incident and also apprise the Commission within 3 days of the receipt of the letter about actual facts of the case, along with the action taken report," NCW chairperson Mamata Sharma has written in her letter to Prasar Bharati CEO Jawhar Sircar.
A Doordarshan official of Additional Director General (ADG) rank had been served a chargesheet after an inquiry was conducted on the complaint of a junior colleague who accused the official of using abusive language and inappropriate behaviour.
I&B Ministry Joint Secretary Abha Shukla had also written to Prasar Bharati saying the "inquiry committee is of the view there exists a prima facie case of sexual harrasment" and sought that action should be taken as per procedure.
