However, the four militants managed to escape, Tezpur headquarters additional SP Numal Mahata said.
Two rifles, a pistol and huge quantity of ammunition were seized from the camp. Medicine and ration were also found from the spot, Mahata said.
The joint operation was carried out by army's Red Horns Division, CRPF, Assam Rifles and the district police, the officer said.
There was an exchange of fire between the two sides but no one was injured in the incident, the SP said, adding that search was on to nab them.
