NDFB(S) leader's house raided, arms recovered

The police raided the house of a senior NDFB(S) leader, recovered huge several arms and ammunition and arrested a linkman of the outfit in Assam's Chirang district, the police said today.
The police raided the house of Mendala in Laizaguri village along the border with Kokrajhar district last night, Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District (BTAD) Inspector General of Police L R Bishnoi said.
Three country made AK-type rifles along with ammunitions and 50 rounds of ammunition and gunpowder were seized from the house of Mendala who is absconding.
The police, however, arrested a linkman identified as Markas, he added.
