NDMC asks Delhi Govt to release 'due' family welfare fund

Leader of House in the BJP-ruled North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Yogender Chandolia has written a letter to Delhi Government asking it to pay the "outstanding" amount of nearly Rs 77 crore meant for family welfare programme.
In a letter written to Chief Secretary K K Sharma, Chandolia has claimed that the amount of Rs 76.77 crore has been due from the government from 2006 till March 2015.
Despite repeated correspondence, the Delhi government has "failed" to release the said amount due to which the welfare programme are on the verge of being closed, Chandolia claimed in the letter.
And, if the fund is not released, the BJP leader in a statement released later said that he and other party councillors "will gherao the CM house".
