NDMC holds 'Prevention of Malaria and Dengue Day'

The North Delhi Municipal Corporation today observed 'Prevention of Malaria and Dengue Day' here to create awareness about the vector-borne diseases ahead of the monsoon season, the civic body said.
Member of Parliament from North-West Delhi Udit Raj, North Delhi Mayor Yogender Chandolia were present on the occasion, and expressed the need for raising awareness to combat the vector-borne diseases.
Raj said that events like these will help in making people aware of these diseases and measures to control them.
Mayor Chandolia said the North Corporation was committed to prevent and control of these diseases this year.
Former President of Delhi BJP Vijender Gupta and Municipal Health Officer A K Bansal and other senior officials were also present at the event.
Gupta said by taking small preventive measures citizens themselves can shield against these diseases. He appealed to the citizen to wear full-sleeve clothes from August to November when breeding of mosquitoes is high.
An exhibition on the measures to control these diseases were also displayed at the event.
