NDMC launches training programme for horticulture staff

With an aim to boost horticulture activity in their areas, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) today launched a training programme for nursery staffers of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) here.
The training programme has been started for Group-D staff of SDMC and aims at training 651 gardeners with latest horticulture technology.
Besides updating the staff with the latest horticulture methods and techniques, the programme would also bring with it salary upgradation for them as per sixth Central Pay Commission.
NDMC has already completed such type of training for its own horticulture staff and the other three civic bodies of the national capital are thinking to provide it on the same lines.
The programme includes interaction of the staff with experts from various reputed institutions like ICAR- PUSA and horticulture departments of CPWD, NDMC and SDMC.
