The NDMC said the drive would be launched in coordination with all departments of the corporations, NGOs, RWAs, market associations and other stakeholders.
North Delhi Municipal Commissioner Praveen Gupta said the drive is being launched to augment the efforts under ongoing Swachh Bharat Mission and all zonal authorities and officers at headquarters have been requested to undertake the sanitation work on a priority basis.
He said a comprehensive action plan has been prepared for strict compliance of all components of the drive.
"Repair or maintenance of roads, painting of tree guards, road side dustbins etc, upkeep of streetlights, maintenance of water harvesting points, upgrading or rectification of road signages and road marking would be taken care of by engineering department of NDMC during the drive," it said.

A special focus of the drive would be on anti-larva measures on stagnated water to prevent breeding of mosquitoes, and curb the menace of dengue, malaria and chikungunya.
Besides, impounding of stray cattle and curbing illegal slaughtering and sterilisation and vaccination of stray dogs would be given special attention during the drive, NDMC said.
Zonal deputy commissioners would carry ward-wise inspection daily along with their subordinate staff to monitor the drive and ensure its implementation at the ground level.
