Anand's transfer as Deputy Secretary, Power was announced few months ago and he relieved the additional charge of the CVO on Monday.
"The post of the CVO is currently vacant. We are not aware of any plans of appointing the new CVO," said an NDMC official.

Presently, 8-9 cases against NDMC are being investigated by CBI and CVC including the cases pertaining to renovation of Talkatora and Shivaji stadiums during the Commonwealth games in which former NDMC chairman Parimal Rai has been named.
The process of selecting the CVO is carried out by the CVC after NDMC apprises the agency of the post being vacant.
Also, Vigilance Director Kulanand Joshi has been sent for one month training and his post is also being held as an additional charge by Geetika Sharma, Director, Commercial.
